Is it strictly known as betting when putting money down in favour of Swindon, or is the term more _burning_ ?

you've missed your chance. after saturday's display, they are 4-1

3 games, 9 points. An impressive start albeit via a solitary own goal this weekend. I'm still in the mind you'll fail to get back upstairs.

3 games won, in the following circumstances

    1. the opposition had two penalties saved
    2. a 90th minute winner
    3. a bizarre own goal

either we're 'making our own luck' or we're going to start losing soon.

garry birtles tipped swindon for the league today.
A brave man who makes his predictions 3 games in.
  • edited 6:20AM
Hmm, I can't help thinking you'll soon lose three in the exact same way as listed above.

Should we have a poll on this? I'm missing the excitement of live voting now that the waffles poll is closed.
  • edited 6:20AM
I think it's perhaps a bit niche. We do need another poll though. Any more ideas?

Swindon now 4 out of 4. Dennis Wise's Barmy Army

But do you have the consistency? Or does that not even matter you're so above this league? I can't help feeling you're the little kid that's beating up the even tinier kids in the playground.

*"I can't help feeling you're the little kid that's beating up the even tinier kids in the playground."* said A.N. Other-Arsenal-Fan, from his lofty perch in the 60,000 seater stadium, yesterday. *"I hate the way football has become so unbalanced"*, he continued. *"Soulless multi-millionaire clubs like Swindon are ruining the game, leaving the Darlington's and Hartlepools of the world with little chance to compete. It's all about the money with them. It's hardly football at all."* He compared the moneybags town with his own club. *"Here at Arsenal, we're a family club, as I was saying only yesterday to Gerhard, who I sit next to in the Emirates. He's a Belgian credit derivatives analyst from UBS. He thinks £2,500 for a season ticket is a bargain in today's world. Why, that's barely the cost of a decent bottle of Petrus. How is that going to fund poaching every half-decent 16 year old in Europe? At half-time, we were reading the latest Standard and Poors report on Arsenal's £450m debenture to fund the stadium, we remarked how glad we were that our club wasn't just a corporate franchise run to satisfy multinational lending institutions, but a real family club. We shuddered at the thought of turning into a behemoth like Swindon."*

I was merely referring to the fact its probably been 7,500 years since Swindon won four on the trot, which is possibly down to playing in a league that until recently even Oxford managed to survive in. Deflecting attention to other clubs is a tad Mourinhoesque I think.

Have finally given in and voted as the poll notification at the top of the page was driving me mental. Although I did work out that you could turn it off, I didn't want to risk missing out on future exciting poll notifications. So, sorry Andy.
