The Mrs Mangel in me wonders what happened at Hummingbird this morning. Police cordon from Nandos to the drycleaners with SOCO police and evidence bags.

Any ideas? All looks a bit grim.

I spoke to both Nandos and Petek (As I was hungry) and apparently someone was stabbed. Anyone know anything else? This area is so dodge.

It was probably someone who'd just been for a meal in the Hummingbird and stabbed himself in despair.

Last time I went in there the toilets were unspeakable, and the food not that great (even though I like goat curry). God knows what the kitchens are like.

I think I've found out about this stabbing.

Local guy stabbed in the back from behind twice while walking up Stroud Green Road late at night. Completely unprovoked. Unknown assailants. Didn't even see them. Woke up in hospital.

No known motive at all - nothing stolen. Apparently police consider it was a gang intiation thing.

I know the guy personally - he lives on my street.

Scary.
