It is not often that I walk up Stroud Green road of an evening. Living on Corbyn Street I usually go up Fonthill and onwards (and since I am now cycling to and from Paddington, its even more rare now than before). BUT, what a revelation. Where did all these people come from??

Due to a long and inglorious sequence of events I found myself locked out and in need of food and shelter until about midnight so I took a walk. There was live music in a couple of places, people eating al-fresco, lots of drinking. I thought it might be a set-up for a film. Very cool and very impressed with the busy-ness of it all. Apart from Dudley's that is, but everyone else was having a great time.

I don't suppose the girl at the cash machine outside tescos is a member here? I agree, incontinence pants shouldn't be marketed at 30yr olds. You've got ages.

For info, I went to Kebabalicious again and watched Michael Jackson videos on VH1 until "her with keys" turned up. Preferable to being billy-no-mates in a pub...

Haha, loving Google Ads reaction to my irrelevant tale. Once for locksmiths, one for repair of broken glass and one for a hotel. very drole.

A relative of mine came to visit and said that SGR reminded him of South Beach, Miami.

    He's not even blind!

Walking home last night (Friday) it felt like I was on holiday. Very nice vibe. Masses of people in WKD, too.

I've been to South Beach and as much as I love the SGR, comparing it to miami is perhaps a stretch.

For example, in this picture, there are no wig shops:

@andy - I'll bet they have really big wig shops in Miami. That could be one in the towwer block.

I really do like SGR. Recent attempts to move house failed (who gets rental gazumped FFS?) but I would really miss it. I'm loving the competition between Chapter One and The Sugar Lounge for that bit of pavement, and I was back late on Saturday and found myself munching a kebab at an outside eatery and feeling fairly cosmopolitan. Fairly.

See if we'd just stuck some sand around that pothole near the station it'd have looked just like that picture above.

Just want to add that I am always singing praises of Stroud Green Rd not quite Miami but much more interesting than Crouch End!

We must all support Dudleys I ordered a waffle by mistake and they took it back no problem and replaced it with a fantastic pancake with melted marsbars and ice cream. It was the last supper before trying to lose some weight !

Another example of how poor spelling and grammar can be confusing.

It should be "Why did you bring a coat?" - note that the substitution of an "r" for the "e" changes the meaning entirely.
