While out walking the dog early this morning I came across loads of police tape by the junction of Lancaster Road & Stapleton Hall Road (near the Londis). Two policemen told me I had to turn back as there was no way through - I could see one of those big forensics tents they put up by the laundry.

I hope no one's been seriously hurt, and the tent is only there to protect the evidence from the rain and nosy locals.

the duty officer was keeping tight lipped about it, but confirmed there was an 'incident'.

the kids had to walk all the way up round the reservoir to get to St Aidan's and buses on diversion - no news on what happened though
