Not my bag, but I find I'm pleased to hear one exists. So you're not into masochism with your needles then?
Anyone going to knitting group tonight? After last weeks BDSM revelations I wonder what this weeks surprise topic of conversation will be..? I'll be there around 8ish.
Just a reminder it's knitting group tonight. I'm going so is Beccie, anyone else?
I still haven't finished work but I should be able to pop along later.
Nice turn-out last night, and we actually did knitting for a change instead of just getting drunk.
There will be a few of us tonight, I've booked the table under the chandelier from 7.30 (the one we had last week) I will probably be there a bit later than 7.30. Anyone else coming?
I'll be there 8.30ish.
Can't come this week, enjoy your date.
I can't come this week either. Again. I will be back, honest. Just started knitting a dishcloth. I think my next project will be less ambitious.
Yes we're meeting tomorrow. Please come along and we'll get you started. I usually get there about 8ish.
Just a reminder that this still happens on a Thursday at The Stapleton, 8pm. It's disappeared from the calendar. It's not strictly just a knitting group any more - although the main focus is knitting, anything arty/crafty is acceptable.
We took it out of the calendar because we hate you.
It got lost in the move because you hate us?
or that
Knitting group Christmas Dinner/Piss up on 9th December in The Stapleton. Need everyone's £20 and menu choices by 2nd please.
Another reminder - Stapleton, tomorrow, 8pm. :)
I might have a couple of boys from work coming along. We like boys :)
I bumped into a knitting group in the Stapleton last night. They'd rescued my scarf. Was it any of you lot?
I wasn't there but it would have been our group. I don't think there's more than one! I thought you knew most of us anyway?
I didn't recognise anyone, but it was a fly-by scarf retreval and I'd had a couple.
There is also a knitting group at The Bull in Highgate on a Tuesday night, run by a lovely German lady called Anke. More exciting Bull-related news coming soon :)
I've spoken to her on twitter, she's keen to join the W.I.
Yes I told her about it, she's a lovely woman was funny when we met as we both did a double take as we were wearing very similar outfits and have the same hairstlye and both really tall! She wants to come and do a spinning demo at WI, makes the most fabulous handspun Norwegian-Style knitted dresses, did you see the photos of me modelling them?
She didn't mention spinning, but that was a few weeks ago and twitter rather limits the depth you can go into. Does she use the weaving shop on Seven Sisters Rd? There's a lady there who's keen to do a demo.
I don't think so. She buys virgin Jacob fleeces from somewhere in the countryside and spins and washes them herself. I know a couple of the ladies from Handweavers Studio as we shared a stall at Well Oiled Festival not last year but year before.
It is my dream to have a flock of sheep on Mount View reservoir that we could shear and use the wool at knitting group (and eat of course).
Wow! I have often seen foxes around the reservoir so you would need a shepherd/shepherdess and a good dog.
The weaving shop had an advert in the last Middlesex WI mag.
I'll be shepherdess! I could wear a Little Bo Peep dress.
Suddenly I'm interested.
There were 6 of us at The Bull knitting group last night, lovely pub with its own brewery out the back and real coal fires. They also have a lovely new manager :p
I don't suppose there are any more foxes on Mount View than out in the countryside, but we could have a few Alpaca in with the sheep. Apparently they scare away foxes http://www.rivergumrise.com.au/HerdGuards.htm
