OK, you'll see you now have a directory tab up the top. This is so we can start mapping out our beloved area. It's open to everyone edit, delete and create so go for it.

Also, I've reintroduced HTML as a post option alongside Text and Markdown. It means I can cross things out and the like too.

I've made the title look like a rubbish ebay ad to highlight the fact that this uses

massive earth-shatteringly cool programming that David has used to create the directory.

Now, would you all be so kind as to visit the directory tab and create an entry on one of your favourite places. It should all be pretty straightforward.

Also, can you "sign" your directory entries by writing your name at the end like this (andy)

Great great great. Only problem is that I don't know what most of the little shops on SGR are actually called. Will have to start paying more attention.

OK, very rough but options to add a link to a website address for the location and a link to a thread in these forums now added. Please ensure the whole url for now until I have time to make it more robust so:

    A link: http://www.link.com
    A thread: http://www.stroudgreen.org/comments.php?DiscussionID=202

It's just David. Eveyone else is rubbish.

hmm, however, I can see this layout being exhausted quite quickly. Cue the redesign of the site. I've had zero response from users for preferences or sites you like. Come on people input greatly received for the infamously pending SGR.org redesign.

You haven't got a marketing bone in your body, have you? The people need to be led, not followed.

If that fails, we need a POLL and some PRIZES.

Andy is totally right. A shortlist compiled by David that the rest of us can vote on is by far the best option.

little updates. when you roll over a marker on the map, it now displays its name. Also you'll see the pubs have green flags now - this is the infant stage of giving each type of marker its own little icon, so we should get dining, pub and shop icons dotted over the sgr soon...

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as we've got loads of new local members but no new directory entries. C'mon people - share your top tips for SG places with the world!
