The new Old Dairy myspace page is here: http://www.myspace.com/theolddairy

Is anyone around on the 22nd? I might stop in for a quick jar in there.

The Old Dairy is under new management…

We’re currently giving the pub a facelift, come and have a look at the new and improved Dairy at the re-opening launch party on Thursday 22nd February.

There’ll be something for everyone in the new pub – a bar area, lounge and restaurant serving high quality modern British food. Head chef Simon Finn has 20 years experience of providing fine dining and gastro pub cuisine and most recently established the North London Tavern Kilburn as one of the finest gastro pubs in North London. In addition to the restaurant menu, we’ll also be providing a lunch and bar menu, all at reasonable prices. Whatever you choose to eat, the food will be prepared using superior produce – wild, line caught fish; seasonal, locally sourced vegetables and the best cuts of meat.

With a space as large as the Old Dairy, there's room to provide more than just a restaurant. There will still be an ample bar area as well as a more comfy lounge. General manager, Gordon McIntyre, aims to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, just how a pub should be – great service from friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. We'll be providing a wide range of wines, beers and spirits and a rotating choice of fine ales.

So we hope to see in the Old Dairy soon, we think you might like it.

Also, this signals that I've finally worked out what myspace is for. Other people use it to find bands they like.

I make friends with a pub.

How are we all feeling about the new Dairy offer? I'm feeling quite positive about it, but then I must admit to having gone off the old Dairy a bit (dreadful food + often full of eejits = not a nice combo). I think this dates from when we had some bother having gone for dinner and Andy nearly got in a fight.

Also interested to see what they manage to offer in terms of 'locally sourced vegetables'. Perhaps they've got an allotment.
