No wi-fi at the Stapleton, hasn't been for a few weeks. Bit of a don't-care attitude by the bloke behind the bar. Bleuh. This pub's my off my visit list for a while then. If he can't be bothered, I can't be bothered to buy his beer. Plenty of other places.

I've never been able to log on there, and I've been trying for months. Something about their Cloud setup is not compatible with my netbook but I'm not techie enough to figure it out...

@yagamuffin this was my gripe today as well. I only remembered too late. Was forced to play solitaire for an entire pint.

Isn't it quite nice to have places with no wifis. People might read, or do the crossword, or talk to each other. It makes me sad to see a pub full of people staring silently at screens, kills the spirit of a place.

I don't really see the difference between people reading, and people staring at a screen. Often if I am looking at my 'phone, it's the Kindle app, so exactly the same as if I have a paperback in my pocket, just more likely to be frowned upon.

How many of you that use free WiFi are aware that you're susceptible to attack by 'those in the know' ?<div>I absolutely refuse to use any wifi network that is not secure...I'd rather use 3G. </div>
