Sewing machine wizard needed

Hi there,<div><br></div><div>I have a Singer Samba machine and no manual! I tried everywhere and can only get the manual in French. That not being my native language I find myself at a loose end. </div><div><br></div><div>I need to sew labels into garments and with no real sewing machine experience I am finding it nearly impossible. My efforts look terrible and it is terribly frustrating. </div><div><br></div><div>I wondered if there are any sewing wizards out there who could spare an hour for a masterclass. I am a graphic designer so maybe we could skill swap or I can just buy you a fair few drinks for renumeration of your time!</div><div><br></div><div>Many thanks in advance!</div>

I can help you, but would have to be after the weekend. If you find yourself in Town, pop into John Lewis. If they sell that model they will demo the machine for you.

sorry, JL don't stock that model. There is a Singer specialist in Tufnell Park, near the tube, or have you tried Singer directly?

She is brilliant, thanks! She lives a full cat life - in and out whenever she feels like it, sleeps wherever she wants too and catnip on tap.

Misscara and Tordie thank you so much for that info.  As mine is such an old machine not much chance of finding a manual! Hopefully with the kind offer of help by miss annie... I am sure resolve my sewing machine problems

A vintage Singer sewing machine from around 1910 has just come down from our loft (it belonged to Mr Wisteria's grandmother).  I'm looking for the key to unlock the case so I can post a photo, but it is free to a good home!

They are beautiful. I love sewing machines, I'd have a house full of them if I had more space. The sewing machine museum in Balham is worth a visit if you like them too, it does have slightly erratic opening hours though.
