Anyone know where you can access free wi-fi around here - apart from sitting in the street outside David's flat?

Wasn't Front Room Cafe threatening to do this?

The White Lion has it (if you want to risk getting your laptop nicked), and my kitchen has 50mbps courtesy of some kind neighbour on Upper Tollington Park.

To add to the list of free wireless options - both the natural cafe on Crouch End Broadway and Pick More Daisies on Crouch End Hill have free wifi.

Front Room Cafe said they were going to do it, but couldn't say when.

Another non-Stroud Green free wireless spot is the Southbank Centre. Big open space, quiet in the day, bar on tap and free wifi throughout. Quite a few other bods working there.

The whole of Paris now has free wifi so I heard, along with their free bikes on every corner, Stroud Green's got some work to do if we want to live up to our Parisian reputation.

Did we ever find out who wrote that article?

I've been looking into WiFi for use with my new iPod Touch and The Cloud seem to offer a good deal.

@andy, there's advice on how to use a CrackBerry as a modem on http://home2.btconnect.com/Taniwha/ and scroll down to the Blackberry section.

I'm connected now from my Mac via by N73 phone.
