Carpet Steamer, anyone?

I just moved into my first flat and my inherited carpets, although clean, have flattened pile and smell unpleasant.<div>Due to the mortgage I can't afford to buy a steamer to solve the problem!</div><div>Does anyone possess one they could loan me for a weekend? I've got a Vax carpet shampooer somewhere - you're welcome to borrow it, no charge, but you'd need to buy your own carpet shampoo (non-foaming) because I've run out.

You can hire a carpet cleaner from Morrisons in Wood Green. You have to buy the cleaning solution though. Freecycle/freegle can probably help too.<br>
