  • There was a united dairies at 105 in the 1950,s 60,s but this was knocked down when tesco,s developed the site the was also a dairy where the old dairy is . This was probably due to the fact not many people had fridges. I can remember the milk vending machines at both but my favourite was the milk chocolate drink called a " Micky" which was dispensed in a wax covered carton
  • Would they not have gone hand in hand? The milk from the dairy being pasteurised and bottled at the Tesco site?<div><br></div><div>Interesting to see their spelling of pasteurized with a z rather than s. I guess some Americanisms really are just old fashioned English.</div><div>And thanks for the link, interesting to read about old school vegetarians :)</div>
  • I wonder if anyone has a picture of that site before the redevelopment.
