Two bits of info about this storm:<br><br>- wind gusts are likely to be stronger and for more sustained periods than the storm we had in October<br>- the forecast low pressure is likely to come very close to the all-time lowest pressure ever recorded in the UK<br><br>Oh, and there's another load of very windy weather coming in the 27th.<br><br>Merry Christmas.<br>

The powercut seems to have covered a hefty chunk of North-East London - Highgate, Crouch End & Wood Green as well as here. Shoppers in Wilkos Wood Green resorted to scanning the shelves by the light of their phones - very resourceful & dedicated!
