Repainting of zebra crossings - important Libdems pls help, Labour too but you aren't reading this

As I was driving around today, I noticed that plenty of zebra crossings need repainting.  It is the contrast between the black and the white which catches the driver's eye, rather than the belisha beacons drowned by the sunlight. <div><br></div><div>This is a tragedy waiting to happen, e.g. londis zebra, blah blah blah, please act before it is too late</div><div><br></div><div>conservative councillors please feel free to put in a word.  ha ha ha. I think there is one, the hampstead heath ward - I wonder why?</div>

We have a wonderful new zebra crossing on Tollington park. The bright yellow lights have a halo around it. It is beautiful and hard to miss too

There are new crossings and roadworks going in everywhere at present.  Anyone would think that Council's are desperate to spend up their budgets before the end of the financial year.<div><br></div><div>Talking of which, after a year of nagging by me and a large petition, the council have eventually agreed to resurface much of Stapleton Hall Road in the last week of March.  As part of this work I've asked them to repaint the road markings on the Londis Zebra crossing as its right by Stapleton Hall Rd.  The markings have almost worn away - so I agree this definitely needs to be done.</div>

Very good to hear SHR is going to be resurfaced, and Londis crossing painted, both are a nightmare!

The main thing Fiveways needs is proper enforcement to make drivers think twice about going through red lights and green men, the solipsistic chancer bastards.
