Response to the consultation on these proposals have to be back to the Council by 8th June.

For those who don't alreday know about this there is short brief below.
    ...................................................................................................
    Brief

Firstly comments on the consolation have to be back to the Council by 8th June 2007

Some of the web sites about this are:

    Haringey Council

    http://www.haringey.gov.uk/index/environment_and_transport/pwconsultation.htm

This has the original submission to TFL which talks about the "Parkland Walk green cycle corridor" along with the proposed plans and the proposals which are being consulted on.

It has a limited feedback form on it or you can e-mail your feed back to transport.planning@haringey.gov.uk or send in written comment to:

    Maurice Richards
    LB Haringey Urban Environment,
    639 High Road,
    Tottenham,
    London
    N17 8BD

    MayerBrown The Planning Consultants

    Their web site is at

    http://www.mayerbrown.co.uk/cycle-networks

The Principal Consultant is Rob Gallagher who can be contacted via e-mail on rgallagher@mayerbrown.co.uk

Friends of Parkland Walk have a web site at http://www.parkland-walk.org.uk/ This states their view on the proposals.

Lynne Featherstone our MP has a fairly balanced article on her web site at http://www.lynnefeatherstone.org/column143-parkland-walk.htm

She has also set up a "Have Your Say" web site at http://www.libertyresearch.org.uk/take/103 which provides the opportunity to feedback views to the MP.

I would suggest that any e-mail feedback is copied to her on her e-mail which is lynne@lynnefeatherstone.org

    Local Councillor Laura Edge

Again any feedback I would suggest is copied to her at laura_edge@btconnect.com

I hope we get what we want which is a balanced debate with all views taken into account and a sensible outcome.

Looks like some work has started around Blythwood Road / Mount Pleasant Villas ... a small digger was doing something (didn't take a good look as I was rushing to work) and they were adding a new set of steps by the bridge.

There's a notice up by the Upper Tollington Park entrance which talked about improvement works starting in Jan this year - mainly the entrances/exits, I think. Which makes sense based on what SimonB's noticed.

Paid a visit to Parkland Walk on Sunday after the overnight deluge, and it seemed like the newly repaired bits (which I'd assumed were to help with drainage) were the worst bits of the entire walk. Kind of like deep yellow sticky sludge.

Also, what's with the tall black gates at the Blythwood Road entrance? It looks like Slade Prison.

One day and the mud is gone, but the yellow sludge endures.

It all looked so perfect on Saturday.
