    The road was still closed this morning, police everywhere. I guess they've got to look alert with this being right on their local station's doorstep?

    Also, not wanting to change subject too soon, but did anybody else see four(!) fire engines on Stroud Green Road yesterday evening. Everything ground to a halt because of a fire in the yard/cul-de-sac behind Dinglis.

    I live next to the cordon. I was amazed when I came out of my door this morning to see twenty plods shoulder-to-shoulder doing the scene-sweep. Why the hell has it taken thirty six hours? They've been allowing residents through the cordon since Tuesday night. Is the site not going to be contaminated? Why the hell was the scene-sweep not done first thing yesterday morning?

    I'm not at all aggrieved that I had to walk to the tube station the long way around this morning.
