Stroud Green November 2015 Update

City North development has found a new investment and delivery partner and TfL are working with them on plans to deliver a new western entrance. The Friends are working hard to raise money to renovate the children’s play area in the park, which is a much loved local institution. The council has said that it will put £30,000 towards the cost of this and the Friends are looking at ways to raise additional funding. This will </span>pay for the worn athletics track to be replaced with a new state of the art, competition standard track. </font></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><font face="Calibri"><font size="3"><u5:p></u5:p>Access to Sport are next targeting the re-development of the building/pavilion next to the Athletics track and also improvements to the tennis courts facilities in the park. <o:p></o:p></font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font><u5:p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Some residents have complained that adults (including some personal trainers and their clients) are using the children’s play area to work out in the mornings.This is particularly idiotic behaviour as the adult gym area is only a few yards away.  I have raised this with park staff and we are looking at what we can do. </font></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span lang="EN" style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><font face="Calibri"><font size="3">Voter Registration <o:p></o:p></font></font></span></b></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: rgb(31, 73, 125);"><font face="Calibri"><font size="3">As you may know, government changes to voter registration mean that anyone who has not registered through the new Individual Electoral Registration (IER) system by December 1</font><font size="2"><sup>st</sup></font><font size="3"> will be removed from register. Registering is not only important for next year’s mayoral election, but also for the government’s planned Parliamentary boundary review.
