New misspelled street sign for OSBO(U)RNE ROAD

I live on Osborne Road.  We have a band new street sign misspelled as Osbourne. I know it looks pedantic to want it to be corrected.  But as we use electronic stuff for navigation, I worry it could be confounding.  I have no idea how to get it changed.  Please could you point me in the right direction?  <div>Thanks very much.</div>

  • Wow. I'd start by contacting the local councillors- their details can be found in the links section.
  • Thanks, but to be honest, my take would be to contact a councilor if usual channels had failed, rather than use them as first contact.  My problem is that I'm not sure what the usual channel would be.  I was hoping that the regulars of stroudgreen.org could kindly nudge me in the right direction...

  • Thank you ever so much.  I did as you suggested.  I'm sure it's not the most pressing issue that Haringey has on its plate!<div><br></div><div>With kindest regards,</div><div>R</div>
  • <div>No worries.</div><div><br></div>If you want to make it more pressing you can always contact the local paper - they love stories like that and it will quicken the response... Depends how cheeky you want to be!
  • <div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;">Crumbs.  That was quick!</div><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;"><br></div><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal;">http://postimg.org/image/axe1awhe5/</span></font><div><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 13.3333px; line-height: normal;">http://s30.postimg.org/tppwehdsh/IMG_1535.jpg</span></font><br></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 13.3333px; line-height: normal;"><br></span></font></div>
  • Good stuff, nothing like an obvious embarrassment to get a council moving quickly...
  • Well done for Haringey for quick action. It was a funny mistake but more of our taxes wasted
  • I reported it a few weeks ago and got an email this week to say it was completed.
