A fantastic street party in MPV this afternoon/tonight.
A great feeling on a sunny day. Great music and great food.
The road was closed off from 3pm until midnight.
Loads of people were out. It's amazing how many of your neighbours you don't know!
I strongly recommend using this to start a local trend for more street events.
The Victoria Terrace street party was great during the summer.
It really didn't take a LOT of organising.

Great. ARe there photos that you can post?

Also, were you bothered by people filming something in SGR this weekend?

I loved the people at the MPV street party! We were doing a film for a competition and they let us use the party as a backdrop for a bit. Really nice people. If you were one of them Dreadlocks, then ta very much!

Also, agree that there should be more street parties. When I was a lass and lived in distant north london (palmers green. it counts, it has an "N") we used to have them all the time.

I've put the tips for links and images on a sticky thread.

You can't upload photos directly, but you could upload them to something like Flickr or Photobucket (which are both free) and link from there. They have code on them to embed them on sites like this.

In order to post a picture from the web, use an exclamation mark, square brackets, round brackets. Then choose the 'markdown' button.

    Like this:

This is supposed to make things simpler.

    I'm not convinced.

Entering the code above and pressing 'markdown' gives you this
