One of the things that really winds me up about this great little area is the rubbish left on the street. One place where it's really bad is at the end of Stapleton Hall Road where there's been a big blob of red paint on the pavement for ages and usually accompanied by rubbish that has been dumped. Also in front of the Mind shop there's often rubbish dumped there. Stroud Green Road could be so much better if rubbish wasn't left on the pavement - there was comment that someone was put off going into Cafe Liline by the fish guts rotting outside...

Maybe part of the issue is that the red paint is right on the Haringey/Islington border so it never gets dealt with, each council looks at it and thinks its the others problem.

Come on lurking councillors - clean up Stroud Green.

I don't want to sound flippant but I always want to lay face down in the blob of red paint and have my photo taken.

It has been there yonks though. The squirrel that I saw brutally killed in the street outside Stay Press dry cleaner was cleaned up pretty damn sharpish.

Is it time to put a chalk outline of a body next to the red blob?

    More comfortable?

It would have to be a squirrel shaped outline.

The red blob has gone. Perhaps something even more toxic was dumped on top of it.
