Kitchen fitter

Evening all - we've just had a quote from Wickes for a new kitchen and wondered if anyone had any advice re using the Wickes fitters? The quote seems fairly high! Has anyone bought a kitchen from Wickes/somewhere similar and then hired their own fitter? If so, it would be great to hear any recommendations of people to get in touch with.

I found the fitting costs are about the same as the cost of the units etc. Seemed to me when we had ours done to be a lot but you probably do want a good job done well
  • Get the best person you can to fit it, would be my advice. The fitter can make a real difference. Remove and fit standard sized kitchen could be about £2,500 - price goes up and down depending on size etc.
  • I will be following this thread as I want to change my worktops...
