I know there was a north london derby, but it's gone to penalties in the FA cup in both:

    Bristol v Fulham

    and

    Swindon v Barnet

This is the worst thread on this site. Ever.

All the posts are by me. No-one else even likes Swindon Swindon missed four penalties.

    Rubbish. Rubbish. Rubbish.

At least you didn't go in the end (I'm assuming?!). The burning question that springs to mind is: is it more embarassing for Swindon to have been beaten on penalties by Barnet, or for Arsenal to have been beaten 5-1 by Spurs (no need for penners there) - thus losing to their north London rivals for the first time this century?

The most embarrassing footballing moment last night was Spurs doing a lap of honour for not losing to Arsenal.

The Swindon defeat puts us in an exclusive club that includes only Barcelona and Finnish side FC Haka as teams that have missed the first four penalties in a row.

That sort of global incompetence makes Spurs/Arsenal look like a petty domestic.

And let's not forget that I attribute that almost entirely to my decision to record the penalty shootout live on this page.

Ah, hubris. It did for Macbeth. And it did for Swindon's chances of a fourth round encounter with Bristol Rovers.

I wonder if any other Swindon fans out there were doing the same thing as you...and now feeling like it was their fault? You could form a club.

I've only watched two Arsenal games on the big screen at the back of the World's End this season. We lost both. We haven't lost any other games. Surely this is my fault?

In a similar vein, I've just listened to Sheff Utd vs Man City on 5Live and they lost...as with pretty much every City game I've ever listened to on the radio. Somewhere, a butterfly flaps its wings...
