A better keeper would have got that. It is only AC Milan. We are top of pops.

So watched the game in the Larrik last night. Pedro had to be up early and i knew if I'd gone to the Fullback I wouldn't be typing this now and would have wasted a day of what little holiday I have left this year.

I don't think I'll be going there again. Staff are friendly enough, food is shit but good enough for lining the stomach before a heady Champions League evening of pouring premium lager down your neck. My issue is that they had two big screens, but they only showed the Arsenal game on one, the other was dedicated to the Man U game. In town this would be ok as its neutral ground but the pub was absolutely rammed on one side and completely empty on the other, they'd basically made their punters squash up into standing room only while a single Man U fan, and I counted him, sat and watched the Man U game on a telly at the other end, he wasn't even watching it on the big screen they'd dedicated to him.

Rubbish. Don't they know what catchment area they are in?

    That is appalling.

Unlike Cesc's goal, which was a thing of wonderous beauty and made me very happy.

There you go, you can add "Cesc" to the list of things I don't hate.

Maybe they do understand the catchment area .... South of England => lots of Man U fans. I've always been surrounded by loads of them when watching my team being cheated out of three points by Man U.

To be honest, The Larrik hasn't ever got the pub football thing quite right. Since the Dairy went over to the dark side, I've started going to the World's End to see my team lose.

... oh and a cracking performance by Arsenal last night by the way.

I wonder if they'd do that if Tottenham and Arsenal had CL games on the same night?

Not that it will ever happen, but think about it hypothetically.

That I would understand, Sp*rs would fill their half of the pub out no problem. But while Man U do have lots of fans in the south, the Larrik had one last night. Just not enough. It's happened before too so its not a one-off nor is the lesson being learnt. They've lost me on footy nights to any other option in the area.

Ah, football catchment areas. Did you hear that parents have been buying small flats near stadiums to get their child in?

I've heard its reversing the trend of falling house prices around Swindon Town Football Club.
