A guy who lives a few doors down from me has a large fire going in his back garden. He appears to be burning recycling crates full of clothes and papers, occasionally dousing them in some sort of accelerant.

I've watched enough American cop dramas to know that he's probably killed someone and is now getting rid of the evidence.

I cannot believe that I'm turning into that person, but the smell of smoke has permeated my entire flat, so I feel like I'm involved.
