no joy - have been hunting high and low for days now...because shes so timid shes probably found somewhere to hide and is staying put - have known my cat to hunker down for a week with no food... thank you for the eyes out! have had a couple of calls around lorne road and the estate there, not sure if she would of gone that far though - still thinking albert road is the place she is...

I think maybe I saw her. At least, I saw a cat who looked similar on Lorne Road on Friday night, about 7pm maybe. She was on the pavement, on the right-hand side of the road, and as I approached she jumped into the front garden of the house. It was betweeen Victoria Road and Florence Road, but I can't remeber which one, definitely nearer to Victoria road though I'd say. When I got parallell I stopped and looked at her carefully because I thought it was odd, she seemed extremely timid, and usually cats in this neighbourhood are quite friendly. She just sort of crouched and shook. So I left her alone. She had very large white whiskers. I'll try to go along Lorne road tomorrow and see if I can remember the house/door number.

    Hi there,

the cat in the picture is mine, though this is the first time I've seen this site.

I am absolutely distraught. Esme the grey tabby in the picture has a heart murmour and I need to get her to a vet asap.

She also has a brother who has stopped eating and has been so very upset since she was lost.

Please please please let me know if you see her, find her, or are able to take her in till i arrive.

There is a £200 reward for her safe return.

    Please call me on 07824 595 121

Hi Genx, I think that many of us are keeping an eye out and if we see anything I'm sure people will get in touch. I often walk the dog reasonably late (when cats seem to come out) so I will keep a keen eye. I do hope she turns up.

    Thanks so much Lucy,

We'll be back tonight looking too.

On the last visit to the vet her murmur was under control, but the stress of being lost for now over a week cannot be good.

It really is encouraging to get support like this, thank you ever so much

hi donna - that sounds like her! did you remember which number?
  • edited 7:50AM
Sorry - yes I did. It was number 13, unluckily :( I did have a good look on my way home yesterday but no joy. Obviously number 13 might have a similar-looking cat. It's so sad, what is happening to all these cats? Is there a catnip bush anywhere because sometimes they get attracted to those.

    hi donna,

    thanks for this.

it's the same cat. i gave my two cats to 'dairy queen' to look after. esme was the one who has gone missing.

i had a look yesterday but no. 13 lorne road isn't between florence and victoria. could you have remembered the no. wrong? no. 13 seems to be part of the estate, and is considered to be on the bit that goes onto stroud green road as far as we could tell.

Hi Genx, Sorry! Just seen this - went away for the weekend. I must have got confused - I think it was number 31. Will check tonight on my way home and let you know this evening. I just remember as I walked up the road, she jumped over the brick wall and started cowering. She was plump, yes, and she really really big white whiskers. I stopped and tried to make friends with her, because it seemed so odd, usually cats aren't scared of me. But then she was obviously unhappy so I just left her alone. i feel so bad now. I wish I had done something. It's really sad I really hope she's OK. Maybe knock on number 31 and see if maybe she got into the back garden. Or the house next door with teh garage, maybe she went in there?

We had a visitor on Sunday night. A black moggy with green eyes. Came in through an open window and slept on the sofa.

We are on the second floor....

Is that really 22 years ago?
  • edited September 2009
What the pictures of the cats, or Suzanne Vega? If it's the picture, you've changed an awful lot in those 22 years.
  • edited 7:50AM
we'll look out for her. Esme that is, not Suzanne Vega.

I'm glad she has been found. You will take down all the posters from the lampposts etc now, will you?
