If we are slow loading our shopping onto the conveyor belt at the checkout, the checkout person is penalised for being too slow. That is why they wait until we have finished unloading before checking our shopping through.
They also appear to be advertising in job centres for unpaid Night Shift workers (temporary perhaps), with the bill being footed by the taxpayer via the JSA. I'm all for people working to get experience, but Tesco can afford to pay them, but choose to let us pay for them instead. Nice.
So unfair. They have billions
Are you sure about this? I worked at Tesco when I was at college and there was no such rule. I was also paid £8/hour. This was a long time ago and obviously things change, but I'm sceptical.
The reality of it
Of course Tesco should just have advertised the posts as internships. People are prepared to work for nothing at all when you call them interns.
