Showing the link itself as clickable:
<http://www.google.co.uk> produces www.google.co.uk

Attaching the link to some text:
[Hello World](http://www.google.co.uk) produces Hello World

Emphasis

Single asterisks(*) and underscores(_) for Italics & double for bolding.

_Hello_ or *Hello* produces Hello
__Goodbye__ or **Goodbye** produces Goodbye

Or, go crazy and combine them:
_**Crazy Biscuits**_ produces Crazy Biscuits

Headers

Headers are ordered in sizes 1 to 6, 1 being the biggest. To use a header, prefix the word with a hash(#) or hashes reflecting the header number:
#Size One produces Size One
##Size Two produces Size Two
###Size Three produces Size Three
####Size Four produces Size four
And so on.

Images

To embed an image into a thread, copy the link and format as:
![Kermit](http://tinyurl.com/lvuvc) will produce:
Kermit
