How about the fact that Winston Churchill's nanny lived with her sister at - I think - no. 15 crouch Hill and that Winston visited her several times there.
Arguments like this on public forums are tiresome. No one wants to read it so yes can you take it offline please and let's get back to talking about access to the station/that latest coffeeshop/how much rubbish is piling up in our streets please. Th…
News just in: it has just been confirmed to me that the Tesco fire happened 'out the back' and was caused by a faulty cable. I spend a lot of time down there obvs so I'm glad it was nothing too serious
I can't speak for the rum bar thing, but I can heartily recommend aces and eights in Tufnell Park for late night American style boozing. It's but a 5 quid uber cab ride away and we have nothing like it this side of holloway road
That place is so mediocre it hurts. Anyone who fancies good US bbq should just hop on the Victoria line to Oxford circus walk 5 minutes and enjoy Bodeans. 3x better in my opinion
Blast! I hope it reopens soon as I'm planning on popping in there on the way back from work for some dinner ingredients. Oh and I hope everyone's ok! NappyFox - I bet the sauce was about 3 quid? Well pricey in there!
Terrible story, sorry Cristo. Just goes to show how dangerous that park can be - as this happened to Cristo on a Saturday morning! I'm not sure I'll go in alone in future...Get well soon hombre
I'm sorry to hear this Marquis. As a rule I wouldn't go near the park after dark. Saying that I once walked through around midnight with a group of friends on our way to the Finsbury pub and you could make out figures in the dark lurking amongst the…
I went there last week. The restaurant is now firmly in my SG/Finsbury Park top 5 (alongside Dotori, La Saporita, Osterio Tufo and Yak and Yeti if you actually get served) really nice authentic Spanish grub and decent wine selection. My favourite di…
I know what you're getting at krappy, I've long thought that about a lot of these places. Ever seen that mannequin/pancake place with more than one or two people in there (who I suspect are the owner's mates)? Hmmm
I have zero personal interest in those shops being there and would selfishly be happier with a large Waterstones or something I would use rather than walk by. But of course any sensible person must agree that it's the diversity of the place which ma…
I've been lurking on here for around 2 years. I'm a 30 year old male with delusions of grandeur and strong middle class sensibilities. I live at the bottom end of Crouch Hill.
Definitely a scam. I got done the same way in a beer garden in Angel. A member of staff came over and told me they try it every week (after I'd given the lad two quid unfortunately!). These people are the descendants of Fagin and the Artful Dodger...
Golly it's much more expensive than in Madrid, but then London is London ain't it! I will definitely grab a stool in here very soon. Thanks for the recommendation
Me and a few pals are heading down on Saturday evening to test out the beer properly (and one of them will likely harass those females you speak of). We should make it an informal SG.org social!
Ha, some friends! Yeah I recommend it for a decent pint though. I think they're going to have bands playing and that, let's hope it's a success.
Arkady, Balti King always looked pretty sketchy to me! Reminds me of a horrible place I used to go wh…
