@HolbornFox - whatever happened to Skinnyman? I've got his album 'Council Estate of Mind' and always saw his graffiti'd van parked in the Sobell Centre car park for ages but it is now gone.

I had brunch here a few weeks ago and it was good, food was lovely. It's on upper st - http://thedeaddollshouse.co.uk/
Heard good things about this place in Essex Market - http://www.coinlaundry.co.uk/

Hamlet Cafe 35 Hornsey Rd, London N19 4DX

I haven't been to Fabric since around 2010 but I also think this is terribly short sighted of our council. Fabric was a well run business that offered jobs and bought money into the economy (paid taxes).
The door staff did strict searches to get i…
Robert Elms on BBC London dedicated a show to this book quite a few years ago.

As far as I know the people taking over the landseer already run a pub in Barnsbury. They intend to bring some live music to the landseer.
The Landseer's outside space is great and nice and peaceful.
I had a Sunday roast at N19 a couple of weeks ago and I didn't really enjoy it, under cooked carrots and far too many of them and potatoes weren't great either. They are very friendly in there though.
I've heard from Sid at the Landseer that it's b…

We didn't have a good experience with Asquith and took our boy out of there. It may have changed now as a new headmaster had just started.
He is now at North Islington and absolutely loves it. The learning is based on a Montessori way in that it i…
I saw this the other day and had a quick peep inside, looks good.

http://rustybike.kitchen/ signage looks similar too.
a friend of mine always drags me there as he says it does the best pint of Guinness in London, I don't drink it so I have no idea.

I've got a replica rocking chair version of those, love it! so comfortable.
I've dj'd at all of those venues in the late 90's early to mid 2000's apart from the Velvet Rooms.
Papa L - I remember Swerve nights at the Velvet Rooms but never went as not a big DnB fan, although I did frequent Metalheadz Sunday's at the Blue Not…
My Cottage Cafe changed their menu from a cafe menu to a kebab place which is disappointing as we don't need any more of those. I used to go there when it sold cafe food.
A late night establishment would be great!
If anyone needs a dj
Good luck Tony.
I've been once and really want to come again but a bit difficult with a toddler. My girlfriend and I loved the food, I had a chilli dog and she had a beef burrito and we both thought the food was very good. Hoping to come again soon…
I'm in islington too so yes it would be interesting to hear how you get on. I'm sure I read somewhere that Islington council have relaxed a bit on planning permissions as they know most houses are now split into flats, but we'll see.
I have the adde…
Jenny it would be interesting to hear how you get on as I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
