I'm moving to the area (Upper Tollington Park) in 2 weeks and was hoping to get some advice on the area; pubs, eateries, dodgy streets, live music, etc.

In no particular order sample: La Porchetta (my preference), Petek, Cats, Chez Liline, Pizza Pappagone (others' preference), The Faltering Fullback, The Old Dairy, The Noble, The Stapleton, The Park Tavern, breakfast/lunch at Mari e Monti, Front Room, The Turkish small supermarkets, the beers in Jacks, late night CostCutter, walk in the park, up the Parkland Walk and stroll the side streets up and over to Crouch End and also down to Highbury. There's much more I missed, but that should keep you active for at least the first month. You'll probably like it, in my biased mind Stroud Green is the best place to live in London.
