My life as an acting student

Today we went to our first "acting" lesson (as opposed to voice and movement). Only five weeks in! I have just spent an hour pretending that my nose has grown to a point and is infinitely extendable, with a diamond point on the end, that I have spock like ears that pick up radio and that my eyeballs can bend round rooms. Who needs LSD?

apparently, I'm to tell the "little fucker" that sits on my shoulder to stop with his scepticism. I must ignore the little fucker and just embrace the experience. I have decided to call my little fucker "Andy".

Andy, how do you feel being the inspiration for Lucy's method acting style? Scepticism towards infinately extensible noses is fair. To paraphrase the great Ray Winstone: _"In acting school they'd say 'right, now lets pretend to be trees', fuck off, why?"_

I'm going to start a weekly drama school report. We're supposed to be keeping a reflective diary anyway. Not sure this is quite what they meant though!
