Are we paying for this ? What is going on with Islington LA ? Fair ?

Heading:
Provide adequate blue badge parking and reverse the exploitation of disabled drivers - ensure that parking fine appeals are accessible and independent.

More information:
Islington Council has reduced blue badge parking. Where once disabled bays could be used by any blue badge holders, they are now designated to specific users. They have also increased loading restrictions resulting in negligible provision for disabled drivers because of restrictions on yellow lines. Consequently the parking enforcement private contractors are serving tickets on disabled drivers and bringing revenue into Islington Council's coffers.

Islington Council Leader is also Chair of the Transport Committee of London Councils which oversees the Independent Appeals Centre, where appeals against these fines are determined. The Appeals Centre has been relocated to the Angel, where no feasible disabled parking is provided without any designated blue badge bays. In short, disabled drivers are victimised, penalised and denied fair access to independent appeals.

Worse still the Mobility Forum stated on website has never been held as requested 8x to let me know when . Now when I search for Blue Badge contacts the Forum number is the Transport Planners ? I wonder why?
