Adults wanted to assist Volunteer Police Cadet Programme

edited April 2012 in General chat
If you want to help change lives, develop your skills and have fun, then we have the perfect opportunity for you. The Metropolitan Police Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) is open to young people aged 14 to 19 years. Cadets are drawn from London’s diverse communities including those vulnerable to crime or social exclusion. In order to open up cadets for more young people we need to increase the number of adult volunteers. There are numerous opportunities including evenings, weekends, and daytime opportunities to assist the coordinators ensure the units run smoothly. The Volunteer Police Cadet Programme is holding an event on 1st May at 6pm at New Scotland Yard, St James’ Park, for anyone interested in volunteering with us. On the evening you will have the chance to meet some of our amazing cadets, find out about the recruitment process, ask any questions you may have and speak to existing volunteers who can tell you exactly what to expect when volunteering with the Volunteer Police Cadets. Pre registration is required so if you would like to attend please email cadets@met.police.uk or visit www.met.police.uk/cadets for more information about the Volunteer Police Cadets.
