stapleton tavern - poor food
group of six friends tried out the stapleton hall tavern today.<br><br>cash only, no cards.<br><br>one menu between us at table - poor service. order at the bar. <br><br>chaotic, one person served starter AFTER everyone else was already on mains.<br><br>food - prob the worst meal we've had in years.<br><br>gravy pallid. veg mostly nearly raw. beans stringy, meat tasteless, nut roast a mush, roast potato floury and pale, yorkshire pud inedible.<br><br>despite everyone on the table returning their plates half-eaten, no refund offered, just free drinks, which we mostly declined as we decided to go elsewhere to find some nice dessert at least.<br><br>first (and, disappointingly, last) time at this establishment.<br>
