Manor House Masterplan

edited October 2010 in Local discussion
Across the park from Stroud Green, but might be of interest: Complementing the desperately needed Woodberry Downs masterplan (<http://www.matrixpartnership.co.uk/project-Woodberry-Down-Masterplan.html>;) is the new Manor House provisional masterplan. Looks good at first glance: (<http://www.hackney.gov.uk/manor-house-aap.htm>;) Consultation now underway. This is Hackney’s territory, but they are currently recommending a complementary development in the SE corner of the Park. As Haringey have been in consultation throughout it is not impossible that it might happen. Some of you may have opinions about that. I’d worry about ‘creeping development’ of the park’s fringes. On the other hand that corner might need an overhaul of some kind to cope with the massive bus queues that develop there.

I've skimread this, will look in more detail but the key action points from their initial consultation look positive - particularly making use of old buildings where possible. I hate the jazzy coloured balconies that are part of Matrix's plan. Looks just like the New River development near Turnpike Lane which, in my opinion, is an eyesore.

I've skimread this, and not sure I like the sound of Reconstituted Whole Egg (but at £1.35 a cake, what can one expect?)

Manor House Cake is quite easy to make at home, you could use real eggs then.
