Just been talking to my sister thousands of miles away as I cooked my dinner. Using skype video, I rested my laptop on my toaster so the camera could see me and i could see the screen. Talking to someone abroad, for free, on a videophone, whilst cooking dinner. It felt like the future.

I wouldn't class toast as 'cooking', I think the toaster was merely a pedestal, rather than active apparatus, and the magic was happening on the stove. It wouldn't be too healthy for a laptop either.

I was too drunk last night to qualify this post. Brilliant scene where he's eating noodles and talking to his wife via a fake-future type tele-visual interface. I just couldn't find a picture of that so this had to make do.
