Twas a good game of football, sadly there ate only the play off finals and champions league final left then no football for 30 days till the world cup.
Such a void.
Am so gutted I didn't get to go to cup final or see the parade. I am in Orlando with work, which is the worst place I have ever been to. I can't wait to get out of here
Because football holds power over people as sad and as stupid as that may sound.
I will freely admit to crying in public when Leeds were relegated, I had no idea I was such a football fan until it was pointed out to me, it has always been a huge but absolutely normal part of my life.
I remember being in a crowd when bricks were being thrown at us and it was a thrill, it made you feel alive and that it somehow really mattered, I know it doesn't and how well my team does (or doesn't) do will make no difference to my life one little bit.
There is nothing like being in the crowd when you're 3 -0 up the opposition are visibly wilting and 38,000 people are all singing in unison.
I'm lucky enough to have seen my team win the league and can well understand how you can get carried away with the elation YOUR TEAM won something its a really personal feeling and if you don't get football you just won't understand.
From the highs you get the lows and again I can understand why football violence starts, not the organised fights between crews but the post match punch up or bricking the coaches of away fans. It's the mob mentality of how dare they come to our place, plus it's mostly pissed up working class young lads with more bravado than brains.
What I saw at the park tavern was happy people whose team had just won the cup, it really did feel like the last scene in Fever Pitch. No animosity no tension just people enjoying the moment.
But glad Arsenal won rather than the cod heads.
Maybe there was no animosity in the Park Tavern, but in Clissold Park there were gaggles of hoodlums singing 'We hate Tottenham' and generally relishing the opportunity to strut around in best intimidatory style. Quite ghastly.
I'm from Hull and I've never heard the term Codheads. Presumably that's something that Leeds fans say? Detritus, what's this about the awful parts of Hull with no hope? Where are you referring to exactly?
Orchard Park. I can't imagine it has changed much in the 10 years since I was last there but it's awful, depressing and like a maze with all the numbered street names.
Just a small taster for the uninitiated.

There was a tourism slogan a few years back 'it's never dull in Hull' - I think Prezza said it. Seems it woz true...for the wrong reasons....
Maybe Pauline Lady Prescott could cheer them up with a visit...?
