"whitehalls" is me. Hadn't used last.fm before reading this but signed up and it's sucked up everything I've listened to on my ipod. Quite a lot of it is podcasts though - hopefully that doesn't mean that the group radio starts playing five live.
Been listening all morning again and a whole new world of French and German electro/techno is opening up to me. Not usually my cup of tea but that combined with strong coffee has got me working away like a lunatic. Thanks to whoever is responsible.
Who's the Justin Timberlake fan, incidentally? Confess...
Then we've created a great game "hug a mohawk" with a double risk
1. it's not him and i get a beating
2. it's him and i get a beating
bring it on
I'd encourage everyone to play

whilst not a 100% accurate list of my musical preferences, it is more accurate since I started scrobbling automatically over wifi from my iPod Touch.
have joined the group and added a few people as friends
What a cracking idea. Have joined the SGR gang. Do come say hi (or turf me out). Though having just looked at my recently played, I don't remember Rolf Harris being in there. Just goes to show.

There's no hiding with last.fm. You can pretend to be into good music, but it quickly becomes apparent you've been playing Fall Out Boy on a near-constant loop.
So I'm finding the station a little bit too... diverse. Which sounds stupid and I really want to like all your music, I really do, but my music is just better.
I have to say, it was a bit better when we had five members, because those five people seemed to have different tastes, but *only by a bit* - they were more similar than different.
Now it's gone random. I still persist with it though.
Found this tool which will compare your taste to the might Radio Free Stroudgreen - <http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/last.fm/comparegroup.php?group=Radio Free Stroudgreen>
My result was "My musical preference is 61.12% similar to the Radio Free Stroudgreen group. Musically, I fit in!" Although my whole last fm profile is still skewed by the fact I accidentally left Hefner's b-sides compilation to play mute for 12 hours - so not sure what this really means!

Is this just because we're all listen to SGR - or do you all love mogwai as much as I do?

But no, he's nothing like that. He does have a mohawk. So if you see a boy walking around SG with funny hair and big boots, that's probably him.
