I've discovered that the council use Glyphosate as a Herbicide across their estates; I'm slightly concerned about the health affects it might have, especially as I tend to do a bit of planting in the beds next to paths on my estate.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Aaand I think people should stop reading that wiki page right there. How exactly is something anti western? Sounds like pseudo nationalism from people who don't like the focus on criticism of western institutions.
Reading a bit more on global research from a more reliable wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Chossudovsky#Centre_for_Research_on_Globalization), it does seem like it can contain some speculative and conspiratorial material but its editor is also backed by Noam Chomsky and has been published in Le Monde diplomatique. It seems its more of a information clearing house, the claims in the article are also sourced. I'd trust it about as much as I trust most of the papers you can buy in the corner shop.
Something can be unhealthy without killing you outright, especially when we're talking about disrupting glands and hormone production.
Apart from human health, pretty worrisome about the collapse of bee colonies there.
Although I don't understand why Hackney are saying that not using Herbicides = plants all over the pavement... there are tons of ways of getting rid of weeds, including mini flamethrowers that I used to see everywhere.
