  • I might as well admit it - I love trains!...
  • I think the cross overs are mainly for engineering trains rather than for the passenger trains. According to my London Railway Map there are connections from tube lines to other London Underground Lines at: Baker St - Jubilee to Bakerloo Barons Co…
  • They were announcing on Friday that the closure over the weekend was due to crossover replacement. Which I think means they were replacing the points that allow trains to crossover between the Victoria and Piccadilly Line at Finsbury Park. Hence the…
  • I'd be interested in them as we're moving soon. If they're still available let me know when I can collect them. Thanks, Cat
  • Almost certainly a fault with the detector at the junction. At nights often side roads and filters only change when a vehicle is detected at the junction. There's a tfl customer service line you can use to report faults like this. They normally ge…
  • I found out today that one of my colleagues used to work with Monti and is still in touch with him. She's going to let him know how well liked he is by the people here.
  • The helicopter often flys over the Finsbury Park area on it's way to and from it's base in Lippitts Hill, Loughton. So it's not always above us because of stuff going on in the area.
  • I got home at 7 in the morning to find someone going through the bin bags left outside by someone who lived upstairs and had just moved out. I think they were surprised to be disturbed but I had no issues as long as they retied all the bin bags and …
  • I've not been able to make the last two as I had somebody staying for one and was away for the other. I can't make the next one either as I've booked to go to the theatre that night. Would it help if the dates were organised more in advance?
  • Is an accident up near Durham Road. Happened at about 6ish.
  • These results are depressing me. I know we need a change but not the way it's going, can't believe Lib Dems are losing seats.
  • Bridget - I went to Peppermint Green to have my highlights done and I was very pleased with the results. I think it was Jo who did them.
  • Has anybody else seen the Clegg pop art style graffiti on Parkland walk? It's just before the bridge near the play area. Is a series of black and white pics of him with Clegg written underneath. I was running so didn't stop to take a picture.
  • @Northern Heights if you want to contact Islington Council you're probably better using any of the ways on this link [Islington contacts](http://www.islington.gov.uk/contact/)
  • When I cycled over the repair at 0800 this morning it already seemed to be breaking up...

  • I don't think the problem at Tollington Park / Stroud Green Road is a phasing problem, it's a problem with people jumping the red lights. The lights on Stroud Green Road don't change to green as soon as the lights have gone red on Tollington Park, t…
  • For those paying by direct debit the council tax has gone up not frozen as we no longer get the £20 discount.
  • We went to the N19 for a couple early this evening and will definitely be back. They had 4 real ales on, which we were impressed with but they apparently normally have between 5 & 9. We were served by Remi (sp?) who was very hospitable.

  • I get annoyed by the 8am alarm call as well, who ever it is is pretty consistent at arriving dead on 8. When I'm working nights it wakes me up just as i'm falling asleep.
  • Dion - You'd be best contacting the council.
  • The greenman will miss ago if no one has pressed the button. If the button has been pressed and it misses ago then there's likely to be a fault with the lights or the push button. Because of my job I know quite a bit about traffic lights...
  • Would it be possible to come along and bring my cross stitch one Thursday when I can make it? I've been doing the same project for a few years and could do with a kick to get it finished... I've also done patchwork in the past which I'd like to …
  • I quite the slanket I was given for Christmas, but am not sure I'd have bought one...

  • I agree with JaneDoe - the I'd like it still to be a pool too, it would be nice to have a swimming pool so close. I tend to go down Highbury Pool to swim at the moment.
  • Congratulations - DonnaW When I got married we managed to do it for under £2000 with 75 guests, we hired a hall from the council (in Broxbourne so not local but it was lovely) and did our own catering and drink. The food was a buffet which we (an…
  • I'll hopefully make it to the next one. I had wanted to go last night but I was working a late shift at work.
  • I've been on it a couple of times. I think there's now a couple of them out and about.
  • Yep plenty of bushes and greenery in our garden. I guess I'll just have to be patient.
  • I put a squirrel proof bird feeder up in my garden about a week ago along with some of the fat balls but I don't seem to have had any visitors yet :-( Anyone any ideas how I can let the birds know that there's a feeder there?
  • If people have real problems getting to my work they get put up in hotels. We provide a service so if we're not here the service wouldn't run and things / people would suffer. This week only a couple of people have had to stay in town as the mai…
