    MIsscara, it's true I really did see the Mandarin! I will definitely upload the photos so you can see my own pics.

    The Mandarin was swimming near the playground, he was surrounded by lots of redhead ducks with bright red eyes, along with the usual mallards. The Egyptian family were by the bowling green, just down a bit towards the running track.

    I saw the rat as well, it was running along in the undergrowth right on the edge of the lake.

    I saw the Mandarin the other day too, but I bet it's just a promotional gimmick for Iron Man 2.

    I got some great photos of the goslings last night, but I couldn't work out how to put them on here (then I read the instructions and got really confused) so unfortunately I can't share them with you. Would love to see the Mandarin duck, I went up there this morning on my way to to the tube but no sign. I did see a couple of normal sized rats, no big'uns.

    Last night I saw a strange object flying over SGR towards the park. It was about 9.40pm. The object was distinctly square-shaped and orangey yellow. It was flickering slightly. Did anyone else see it? Know what it was?

    Does sound like a chinese lantern though. I love those. Though one did crash-land intothe crowd about a metre away from me at Glastonbury once.
