Back in the day (before the site became the exclusive preserve of people slagging off independent businesses trying to survive in the face of the worst recession in decades), we used to spend a lot of time having a pop at a certain [*thelondonpaper*-friendly clownspawn](http://www.stroudgreen.org/discussion/149/lily-allen/). My problem is, I think some of her new album is really good. Even more generously, I now think of her earlier media stuff as the ramblings of someone poorly equipped to deal with the media. Maybe I'm just getting less mean with age.
