  its a tick box on your preferences page - so you can hide yourself from the who's online bit in the panel. Why anyone would want to do such a thing so as to hide their username which is a mechanism for hiding your identity in itself is a mystery.

  nope, not me. this site logs me in automatically. you have to change the account settings to hide your username.

  Schoolboy error! The Phantom Stranger never refers to himself by that name. It's always something vague and portentous like "Who am I? I hope one day you may come to think of me as a friend, but until then I must remain...a stranger."

  @miscara Lucy was given a flag as an experiment about some kind of marketisation by Andy, but then, I think, was allowed to keep it post experiment as pure favouritism.
