  • I used to live in King's Cross near the canal. Before the big redevelopment the first thing they put in was a Tesco's at the bottom of Caledonian Road. I always feared for the quite wonderful Italian deli that suddenly found itself sitting directly …
  • It's called unengaging.
  • The whole Un thing annoys me too. Andy went to an unconference a while back. Its stupid and pointless. What next? Start putting the letter i in front of everything?
  • I loved it. Not having a clue what's going on has never had much bearing on my enjoyment of his films. Shame it didn't become a series though. I only realised a while back that its his own band playing the music in the club scene in Twin Peaks: Fir…
  • I got asked to do a website for a woman looking to sell Lynch's own coffee brand, Signature Cup. But I was less certain about taking that job on that the plot of Mulholland Drive. EEFFOC DOOG NMAD!
  • _"I'm not paying for your media studies course you dosser."_ becomes valid and fair when the result is a few tweets and a poorly written blog about Hoxton night life and 'what it means to be me'. Perhaps if quality control had more emphasis this w…
  • Not having gone to Uni and bemusedly watching a bunch of dodgy college's in Essex suddenly have University written along the side of them I've always felt its a bit like the renaming of the football leagues. One season you were in the 3rd division …
  • Apparently they weren't available for comment.
  • Like I said much earlier, I think we'll just have to disagree.
  • I'm for benches. I also think removing them and having people lying around the pavement instead has made the vibe worse around Tesco's.
  • _"Just because I live in social housing doesn't mean I don't deserve the same respect as private renters."_ You're absolutely right. Living on a London high street and moaning about the noise gets little sympathy from me for either group. That's no…
  • Quite WillM, personal circumstance have no bearing on the complaint though kreuzkav seems keen to bring his to the table. I just can't bring myself to label a bongo player as anti-social in a high street that has helicopters, traffic, several train …
  • Sorry kreuzkav we'll have to disagree. I also think you've been dealt a pretty good hand if you've landed a flat in Stroud Green. Moaning that it was quieter ten years ago and wanting it to stay that way is sticking your head in the sand. I don't k…
  • I lived in a flat above the World's End in Camden which I imagine would make living on SGR feel like a small Dorset village. It was horrifically noisy, multiple bongo players and a guy with an amplifier which he played distorted harmonica through. …
  • Without it we'd all be dead like a cat in a box.
  • Yep. I just double checked. I logged in and checked in to the Stapleton just fine. I'm currently on the river in EC4.
  • I just don't get foursquare. It doesn't check you are really where you are so you can a) pretend to be somewhere else or b) hide and not announce where you are. Upshot being the true Mayor of somewhere probably goes unrewarded while someone who has …
  • Oh there's nothing wrong with posh totty but Fogle is a different issue. I'm pretty sure he's responsible for most crime and drug addiction in the UK. Some say he invented the interrogation technique known as waterboarding. And X-Factor.
  • @miss_annie Deppism is a very acceptable stance. However any leangings towards such a Fop Twat as Fogle is reprehensible and undoes all your good work.
  • This constant trumpet blowing of ones political persuasion is getting very tiring. It feels like its permeating every thread on the site recently.
  • He was personally responsible for removing that bench you know. And the trees. I've heard he ate dolphins rowing the atlantic and killed polar bear cubs for fun in that other im-so-posh-i-need-a-dangerous-challenge-to-validate-myself show that he di…
  • It's a special elixir I wash the forum down with every now and then to help prevent confusion of mild local authority incompetence with Stalin/Tories/Hitler/Sith/Ben Fogle.
  • Christ, I've never witnessed so much collective palm toffee over a public bench.
  • I gave up on the SGR ones, went to Firezza - but then their dough went inexplicably over salty, went to Lupa. They've just changed hands and the pizza just ain't as good. So I'm thinking of getting in to making my own too now. Anyone got any views…
  • @tosscat - I actually had to say 'because I really really hate them' to a guy who kept asking why I was queuing and not jumping at the chance to serve myself at about half the speed.
  • Some on Florence too. Also looking perfectly fine, not uprooting the pavement or anything.
  • Those new trains are good. Even got proper space for my bike now. Old ones I'd be left in the middle awkwardly rearranging the bike at every stop to let people on and off as it didn't fit anywhere.
  • I think Cohen still has the songwriting in him but the production pretty much ever since the mid 80's reminds me of a hotel band playing covers in Majorca to OAPs.
  • The question isn't "what are we going to do," the question is "what aren't we going to do?"
  • Elvis was without a doubt the greatest rock and roll swindle. The King my arse.
