Have you tried City Lit? Are four stops on the Victoria line acceptable?http://www.citylit.ac.uk/courses/Languages/German/German_1:_rapid_introduction/LG114
I had both a boyfriend and girlfriend and neither did me much good. Do you mean you're in as in you're in? A catch-up some time on Swann's Way around the end of September?
Thank you, checkski. I can only recommend persisting with Ulysses. If I had to nominate one favourite novel, it would probably be it (no kidding). Not that I claim to understand every bit of it, but once you have found your way in, it is one of tho…
I remember one night when I found it completely crowded, hosting some kind of Indian family event. It was amazing how nicely it was done up, given the otherwise rather spartan decor. I always thought their vegetarian curry was excellent. A real loss.
When they let the Swood out in the Brownswood Tavern. That's rather special, but not quite Stroud Green.Oh, and there's also a gay sauna. Not a very good one, but hey ho. At least it was there a while ago.
I agree with Perflexed. Chang's views may have been controversial and his style sometimes crude and/or offensive, but he was never a troll. In fact I found many of his posts rather entertaining and his sense of humour relatively good. I would find i…
I seem to remember there was a similar style exit in the context of the Great Troll Crisis a couple of years ago, but can't find it in the search. This might be a good time to make bets about the actual date of krappy's second/third coming. In the me…
Sorry you had such a bad experience with them. I see that the piece filed under Crouch End is about the Spriggan and shows pictures of the Parkland Walk, so.
The first song I think of when I think of ASD is I Don't Suppose I'll Get A Second Chance f…
I loved Another Sunny Day on the gentler side, and Field Mice at the other end. Orchids too. Didn't get into Heavenly or Talulah Gosh. I see that the founder of the label, Matt Haynes, now runs this rather nice London website. Quite disgraceful thou…
How did Sarah Records and the associated scene feature? I suppose there was some kind of scene around them? Their music wasn't quite as druggy as the whole trip hop stuff.
I was going to try Tiffin Tin this weekend for the first time. Have they also gone downhill lately? I seem to be alone with this, but I also really like Exotic of India. I agree with miss annie on Tollington's.
I wonder if our train geeks have found this little gem of a site yet: http://traintimes.org.uk/map/tube/. There's also a version of this for buses and National Rail.
When travelling the Vic to Northern route, look out for the Euston Road exit from the Vic platform at KX - that's the old exit, all others will lead you into the labyrinth.
